Abstract

Increasing complexity of power grids, growing demand, and requirement for greater reliability, security and efficiency as well as environmental and energy sustainability concern continue to high light then need for a quantum leap in harnessing communication and information technologies. This leap toward a "smarter" grid is widely referred to as "smart grid". A smart grid can help us reach the goal of clean air and energy independence by utilizing renewable power such as wind and solar energy. In earlier a real time, massive, online, multi-time frame simulation is proposed as a means for building a common vision of smart grid functions. A massive simulation will include hundreds of participants that play roles of reliability coordinators, transmission operators, distribution operators, power plant operators, and substation operators. In this paper critically reviews the reliability impacts of major smart grid resources such as renewable, demand response and storage. A Smart Meter is designed via ISM band communication to develop a smart grid. These highly visible drills can demonstrate how the new smart grid systems, people, and processes can all work together economically and reliably. We can get low cost, safe, and easily configurable simulations instead of waiting for expensive and hard wired deployments.

Abstract

A new simple, accurate, precise and reproducible Reverse Phase-High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of Aceclofenac and Tizanidine in tablet dosage forms using C₁₈ column (Ineretsil, 250 x 4.6 mm, 5 μm) in isocratic mode. The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile, methanol and 20 mM phosphate buffer adjusted to pH 3.5 in ratio of (40:30:30 v/v) with Ultraviolet-Visible detection at 230 nm. The method was linear over the concentration range for aceclofenac120-280 μg/ml and for tizanidine 2-40 μg/ml. The recoveries of Tizanidine and Aceclofenac were found to be in the range of 99.45-100.61% and 99.56-101.32% respectively. The validation of method was carried out using International Conference on Harmonization-guidelines. The described High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method was successfully employed for the analysis of pharmaceutical formulations containing combined dosage form.

Abstract

Cities are key for business, Job creation, and the growth of society. The Government of India planned to develop smart cities which are sustainable, inclusive and act as a reference for other aspiring cities. Smart cities in India will work on four principles such as wellbeing of habitants, equity, foresight and efficiency. Existing laws and design principles can act as a hurdle in achieving the four principles laid down. The principles of Universal Design (UD) are user centric, work on the social goals of inclusion, equality and independence. Universal Design India Principle (UDIP) is a set of design principles that focus on a country centric approach which considers culture, caste, poverty, class, and religion. There is an overwhelming need for environmentally sustainable designs for hospitality services. Considering the current requirements, a conceptual framework 'Comprehensive Universal Design (CUD)' has been proposed which includes principles of UD, UDIP and environmental sustainability. Adopting comprehensive universal design principles in the hotels in smart city will help the planners to realise equity, quality of life, social inclusion and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Mountaineering is a preferred adventure tourism activity that attracts many enthusiasts. The risk in mountaineering is tangible which could be an impending threat to the life of the tourist. The sustainability of mountaineering expeditions is critical for its success. The survival of business organisations offering mountaineering related services depends upon how risk in mountaineering is been managed. The service organisations in mountaineering may face the loss of reputation, money and the confidence of their patrons, if risks involved in mountaineering is not managed effectively. The research works aim to build a process based risk management system which may help the mountaineering organisation in managing of risk, and to develop strategies to alleviate and curtail the risk.
